Deana Gentry, FNP-C is a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner at Gastro One, bringing a wealth of experience in patient care. Her journey in healthcare began with a strong foundation in nursing, which she has continuously built upon throughout her career. Deana’s educational background includes an Associate Degree in Nursing from Itawamba Community College, where she also completed a Surgical Technology Program. Her commitment to ongoing education is evident in her pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mississippi University for Women, which she completed in 2020.
With a diverse background in healthcare, Deana has gained valuable experience in various medical settings. Her roles have included working as a Clinic/Rounding Nurse at Stern Cardiovascular Foundation, where she assisted an interventional cardiologist and managed patient care. She also served in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at NMMC Tupelo, demonstrating her skills in critical care situations. Deana’s expertise extends to intensive care, as evidenced by her time as an ICU Step Down Nurse at Baptist Memorial Hospital. There, she honed her skills in collaborative patient care, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Her leadership abilities were showcased during her tenure as an RN Unit Manager at Oxford Health & Rehab, where she effectively managed nursing staff and promoted a positive work environment.
