Maria Jones DNP, FNP-C, AGACNP-BC is a highly skilled and compassionate nurse practitioner at Gastro One. Her journey in healthcare began with a strong foundation in nutrition, earning a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Sciences from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Driven by her passion for patient care, Maria pursued advanced nursing education at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Clinical Nurse Leader, followed by a Doctor of Nursing Practice with dual specialization as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
Maria brings a wealth of diverse clinical experience, including critical care nursing in neonatal and burn intensive care units, as well as outpatient care across various specialties. As a nurse practitioner, she has mentored and supervised nursing students in clinical settings, enhancing her ability to educate and support patients in their healthcare journey. Maria is known for her exceptional bedside manner, strong interpersonal skills, and dedication to preventative health counseling.
