Lisa Castro, N.P.

 

Lisa A. Castro, MSN, FNP-BC is a graduate of The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing (BSN and MSN) degrees from UT. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. 

 

After achieving her BSN, Lisa worked as an RN at UT Medical Center in Knoxville and was an instructor for UT nursing students. She moved to Louisville, KY after earning her MSN and worked as a Nurse Practitioner, providing primary care for nursing home residents and rehab patients. She was also an Instructor at Galen College of Nursing. Additionally, she earned a Certificate in Biblical Studies from Boyce College, while her husband was attending seminary. She then moved to Evansville, IN in 2012, entering into her first GI role as an inpatient GI Nurse Practitioner. Her family returned to their Tennessee roots, moving to Memphis in 2021, and Lisa joined Gastro One, providing GI care for inpatients.  

 

Besides work, Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 kids, walking at the park, playing disc golf, hiking, swimming, gardening, baking, traveling, skiing, and sleeping when the baby allows it. She is also actively involved with her church community.
